For a moment it appeared as if the birthplace of asphalt Crate Sprint racing would not host the series in 2025, but that is no longer the case.
Last week, Lorain Raceway Park Promoter Randy Maggio, Jr. posted on the track’s Facebook page
Sliman’s Dodge Jeep Chrysler Ram have been added to the Saturday, May 10th schedule! Originally the Must See Racing Light Crate Sprints were on the schedule, don’t worry winged warriors, we have an announcement with Jim Hanks pending for you!
Must See Racing later posted a Schedule Update that includes two dates at Lorain Raceway Park. The Midwest Lights will race at Lorain Raceway Park on Saturday, June 7th as part of the Open Wheel Shootout and Friday, August 15th at the Trident Stock Car Nationals.

Lorain Raceway Park, the birthplace of the Crate Sprint car division in the Midwest, started the class in 2015 amid a time when asphalt Sprint Car racing in the area was suffering. The area had just lost the Buckeye Super Sprints, a 305 engine Sprint Car series that had called Sandusky Speedway home for many years along with traveling to other tracks in Ohio.

It’s great to see Must See Racing back at Lorain for 2025, the addition of two dates to Midwest Lights Schedule brings the Buckeye State to four Must See Midwest Lights events in 2025, with Sandusky and Midvale Speedways hosting the series. The Must See Racing program is second to none, providing organized racing, respectable purses and a TV package that features the majority of the races on Racing America and the Free Streaming Racing America 24/7 Channel available on Roku, Fubo, Sling and LG, Vizio, and TCL TV’s.
