FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SANDUSKY, Ohio – The Northern Ohio Sim Racing Association (NOSRA) is proud to announce that it will carry on a cherished local racing tradition this fall by hosting the Bev Jaycox Memorial Cavalcade. Set to take place this October on the iRacing Motorsports Simulation platform, the event will bridge the gap between real-world short track history and the virtual asphalt.
Bev Jaycox, the late co-owner of Sandusky Speedway, was a pillar of the Northern Ohio racing community. Known for her passion for the sport and her dedication to the drivers, Jaycox left an indelible mark on short track racing before her passing. NOSRA is honored to bring this memorial event to the digital realm, ensuring her legacy continues to be celebrated by a new generation of racers.

The virtual Cavalcade will feature two of Jaycox’s favorite racing divisions:
Chargers (Mini Stocks) and Grand Nationals (Street Stocks)
In a touching tribute to Bev Jaycox’s life, the feature events for both classes will be contested over 55 laps. This specific distance holds deep significance, honoring the age at which Bev Jaycox passed away.
“Bev Jaycox was synonymous with passion and dedication at Sandusky Speedway,” said NOSRA Promoter Jim Foose. “By hosting the Cavalcade on iRacing, we aren’t just running a race; we are preserving the memory of someone who gave so much to local motorsports. It is a privilege for NOSRA to host the Chargers and Grand Nationals—the cars she loved to watch—for 55 laps in her honor.”

Drivers from across the region and beyond are invited to compete in this prestigious event. Further details regarding specific race dates in October, registration requirements, and broadcast information will be released in the coming weeks.
