Monday, Sandusky Speedway staff posted on the track’s Facebook page that the August 2nd racing program was canceled. Coming off eight straight days of racing at the track; four on the kart track in the infield and four days of racing on the half-mile, running another event just a week after the Hy Miler Nationals seemed like a daunting task for the small crew at the track.
Brittany Jaycox, posted the following photo on Facebook Thursday after heavy rains swept through the area Tuesday and Wednesday. It shows the track underwater and the infield nearly completely under water.
