The schedule is set for the 76th season of racing at Lorain Raceway Park and 2025 is a big one!  Fifteen races from April through October keep the ⅜ mile speedway busy with returning big events and a fresh alliance with Sandusky Speedway to bring more competition to both tracks.  A new class has been added to the Saturday night program for most regular events, the kid’s Juicebox class will race at the half-way break.  The Juicebox class competed on Saturday mornings in 2024 on the “Little Lorain Raceway” track on the backstretch.

“I’m really excited about the 2025 LRP Season” Lorain Raceway Park’s Randy Maggio, Jr said. “We have a ton of activities for the kiddos planned along with two cornerstone events in the Jackpot and Trident that are expanding!”

Lorain Raceway Park will play host to four Ohio Wheelman Super Stock Series events, three Outlaw 350 Supermodified Sprint Series events and atleast two Must See Racing Midwest Lights races in 2025.

The season opens Saturday, April 26th with Autism Awareness Opening Night, a Maggio family tradition at Lorain and Painesville Speedway.  The Ohio Wheelman Super Stock Series will be the main event for opening night, being joined by Modifieds, Grand Nationals, Factory Stocks, Ohio Pro Compacts and the Kid’s Juicebox division.

Lorain Raceway Park will once again race every other week, with the second race falling on Saturday, May 10th and featuring Kid’s Bike Races, CRS Truck Series and Crate Sprint Cars as headlines.  The Grand Nationals, Factory Stocks and Juicebox will join the show.

The first Friday show of 2025 at LRP comes on May 23rd with Part I of the Lorain/Sandusky Doubleheader featuring the Ohio Wheelman Super Stock Series, Modifieds, Grand Nationals, Factory Stocks, Ohio Pro Compacts and the Juicebox division complete the program.

Saturday, June 7th brings the Open Wheel Shootout featuring the Outlaw 350 Supermodified Sprint Series “Todd GIbson Memorial”, Must See Racing Midwest Lights Sprint Cars, Modifieds, TQ Midgets and Juicebox class.

The Jackpot Nationals featuring the Modifieds will grow from a one day show in 2024 to a two day show in 2025.  Qualifying and Preliminary Races will take place for the Modifieds and Compacts on Friday, June 20th.  The Grand Nationals and Factory Stocks will complete a full show on Friday.  Modifieds will headline the show on Saturday, June 21st with a 75 lap A-Main.  The Compacts also return for their Feature events and the Juicebox class joining in the fun.

The Ohio Wheelman Super Stocks return on Saturday, July 5th for Autograph Night and will be joined by Grand Nationals, Factory Stocks and Juicebox, with an additional class to be announced.

Saturday, July 19th is Lorain Raceway Park Hall of Fame Night as the track celebrates its rich history.  A new class of Hall of Famers will be inducted into the LRP Hall of Fame during the program which will feature CRS Trucks, Grand Nationals, Factory Stocks, Ohio Pro Compacts and Juicebox.

The Ohio Wheelman Super Stock Series returns Saturday, August 2nd for the “Trident Tune-up” Josh Neff Wiggins Memorial.  Grand Nationals, Factory Stocks, Ohio Pro Compacts and Juicebox will join for a full night of racing action.

On Friday, August 15th the Trident Stock Car Nationals kicks off with Qualifying and Preliminary events for the Street Stocks and Crown Vics.  Crate Sprints and Factory stocks join the action for a full program.

Saturday, August 16th is the Trident Feature Event and will feature the A, B, C Feature format for Street Stocks and Crown Vics.  The Kid’s Juicebox class will compete at the half-way break.  The Trident Stock Car Nationals will feature a 75 lap Street Stock A-Main Feature event.

Lorain Raceway Park wraps up a busy month of August with the Outlaw 350 Supermodified Sprint Series and Cancer Awareness Night on Saturday, August 30th.  Modifieds, Grand Nationals, Factory Stocks and Juicebox will complete the program as LRP celebrates cancer survivors and remembers those lost to cancer.

The season comes to a close September 12th-14th with the Fall Festival of Speed Cavalcade.  The annual three day show features Open Practice on Friday, September 12th with Qualifying and Preliminary Races on Saturday, September 13th along with select feature events.  Sunday, September 14th will be an “All Features” program.

October will feature an Enduro of some sorts with details to be released during the season.

“Our alliance with Sandusky Speedway really helps grassroots racing overall. Grand Nationals (Pure Stocks), Ohio Pro Compacts (Outlaw Compacts/Renegades), and Factory Stocks (AAI/Ace) should flourish with both tracks working together “ stated Maggio, Jr. “I’m very excited about the May 23/24 Doubleheader with both tracks featuring the Ohio Wheelman Series. It’s something Rich Lushes and I really look to expand on in the near future” Maggio continued.

“The addition of a Friday preliminary day for the Jackpot and Trident I believe are going to be huge in the organization and the overall success of the event. From a business standpoint, with such a big payout for the weekend, an extra day of income will help us move from the red to the black for the event. From an overall organizational standpoint, lineups for these shows with the great and unique procedure take time. It’s been rushed the past few years trying to work on them on the fly. It’ll be a sigh of relief and I believe it will help the show run more smoothly having that extra day!”

The Little Lorain Raceway Schedule will be available at a later date.  Little Lorain Raceway will focus on quarter midget racing in 2025.

2025 is a big season for Lorain Raceway Park and the schedule shows a commitment to big races and weekly racers.  Lorain Raceway Park remains committed to offering Fast & Affordable Family Fun!  More information including gate times and ticket prices can be found at NEOhioRacing.com.
