The Painesville Speedway, “The Battleground” will open the gates for the 2025 season with a 19 race schedule that includes the return of the Outlaw Figure 8 and many fan favorite events. “The World’s Toughest Battleground” will feature a regular schedule of events featuring the Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars and three Figure 8 classes (Figure 8 Ironmen, Old School Figure 8 and Compact Figure 8) in 2025.
The ⅕ mile will open the gates on Saturday, April 19th for Autism Awareness Opening Night/Remembrance Night with the Street Stocks headline the event that also features a full program for the “Battleground Six Pack” (Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen, Old School Figure 8 and Compact Figure 8).
The Month of May opens with a bang as the Mighty TQ Midgets invade Painesville on Saturday, May 3rd. These open wheel beats might be small in size but the action on the track is larger than life. A Kid’s Bike Race will be part of the program that will feature Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen and Old School Figure 8. A 75 lap enduro will wrap up the May 3rd program.
On Saturday, May 17th, The Buckeye FIgure 8 Nationals returns after a rain-out in 2024, the Outlaw FIgure 8 cars take on “The Battleground” in an all “Figure 8 program”. The Figure 8 Ironmen, Old School Figure 8 and Compact Figure 8s join the program along with a Trailer Race of Destruction.
The Painesville Speedway is right back to the action hosting Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, May 24th featuring the “Battleground Six Pack” divisions (Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen, Old School Figure 8 and Compact Figure 8).
A doubleheader wraps up the Month of May at The Painesville Speedway. Friday, May 30th is Date Night at The Painesville Speedway, Buy One Get One 50% Off. A ladies Figure 8 race will be the feature event that will also include the Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen and Old School Figure 8 plus a 75 lap enduro. The action returns on Saturday, May 31st with Hall of Fame Night featuring the Battleground Six Pack divisions (Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen, Old School Figure 8 and Compact Figure 8).
The Ohio Wheelman Super Stock Series heads to The Battleground on Saturday, June 14th for the first of two visits in 2025. Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen, and Old School Figure 8 share the track as the summer and the battle for Midseason Championships heat up.
Mid Season Championship Night on Saturday, June 28th will feature the CRS Truck Series plus the Battleground Six Pack divisions (Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen, Old School Figure 8 and Compact Figure 8). Mid Season Champions will be crowned in each of the Battleground Six Pack divisions.
A doubleheader kicks off the month of July with Bike Night at The Battleground on Friday, July 11th. The Ohio Pro Compacts will invade The Painesville Speedway for the first time in a program featuring the Warriors, Figure 8 Ironmen, Old School Figure 8 and a 75 lap enduro. The Ohio Wheelman Super Stock Series headlines the second half of the double header on Saturday, July 12th. The Ohio Pro Compacts, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen and Compact Figure 8 will complete the event.
The Painesville Speedway is back to the action Friday, July 18th with Throwback Night featuring the Battleground Six Pack divisions (Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen, Old School Figure 8 and Compact Figure 8).
Fan Appreciation Night with $1 Admission takes over The Battleground on Saturday, July 26th. The Street Stocks invade the ⅕ mile with a Women’s Figure 8, Old School Figure 8, Chargers, Warriors and Rising Stars also in action. A 75 lap enduro will wrap up the program.
August kicks off with another Battleground Double. Friday, August 8th features First Responder Appreciation and Truck Night! Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen and Old School Figure 8 take to the track. The Zac Brunkala Memorial 47 headlines the Saturday, August 9th event. The Chargers & Warriors will race 47 laps in memory of Zac Brunkala. Figure 8 Ironmen, Compact Figure 8 and a 147 lap Enduro will thrill the crowd. A burnout contest will be part of the program.
Saturday, August 23rd the CRS Trucks are back at The Battleground along with a Kid’s Candy Rush. Street Stocks also take on The Battleground along with Chargers, Warriors, Rising Stars, Figure 8 Ironmen and Old School Figure 8.
Season Champions will be crowned on Saturday, August 6th in the Battleground Six Pack divisions. Street Stocks will join the card for Championship night.
The regular racing season comes to a close at the Autumn Brawl Cavalcade September 19-21. Friday, September 19th features Open Practice at The Battleground, while the Saturday, September 20th program will feature Qualifying and Preliminary Races along with select Feature Races. Sunday, September 21st is all about Features!
Destruction at the Battleground returns Saturday, October 11th. A full program of destruction is planned.
The Annual Turkey Leg 150 hits the track on Saturday, November 29th. 150 laps of Enduro action in any weather.
