The Annual Turkey Leg 150 at The Painesville Speedway will have to wait two weeks. A major winter storm and lake effect snow event dropped over a foot of snow on the grounds overnight. A statement on The Painesville Speedway Facebook page announced the event is rescheduled for Saturday, December 14th.
From The Painesville Speedway Facebook page:
“Nothing would make us more excited to not only see our TPS family on our annual Thanksgiving weekend race but to have an absolute blast in this snow! However, my excitement is hindered by the thought of allowing our competitors, teams, spectators and employees traveling in this unprecedented snow with unclear roads and even local road closures.
The Turkey Leg 150 is NOT happening today folks. However, get those junkers ready to rumble in two weeks on SATURDAY, December 14th. Same time. Same place!“

We’d like to thank The Painesville Speedway and the Maggio Family for putting the safety of the competitors, fans, and track officials at the forefront of their decision to postpone this event.
