CLEVELAND, Ohio — Following a 2025 season defined by absolute resilience, late-night highway runs, and leaving it all on the track, Poor Boy Racing has officially announced its return to the tarmac for the 2026 endurance racing season.
The grassroots squad will be led once again by Team Captain Kevin Broski and Co-Captain Jon Quinn. Bringing the crucial mechanical expertise to keep the car running against the odds is Lead Mechanic Jay Teague, joined by full-time driver Shawn Bubsey. Serving as the versatile backbone of the team are Roy Lowe, Ryan Broski, and Neil Broski, who will take on double duty as full-time crew members and part-time drivers.
Poor Boy Racing is looking to build on a dramatic 2025 campaign that tested both their equipment and their grit. At the “Pitt Maneuver” at Pittsburgh International Raceway, the team pushed their machine to the absolute limit, ultimately grenading the engine with just 30 minutes left on the clock.
The true defining moment of their season, however, came during the “Capitol Offense” at Summit Point Raceway. After suffering a broken transmission early on Saturday, the weekend looked bleak. In a display of pure motorsport determination, Kevin Broski’s cousin drove halfway from Cleveland to hand off a replacement engine. The team wrenched through the night, completed the swap, and triumphantly returned to the track to finish the race on Sunday.
With those hard-learned lessons in the rearview mirror, Poor Boy Racing is locking in its 2026 schedule. The team has officially confirmed their entry in the “Mid-West Crisis” at the legendary Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The crew is currently evaluating their strategy to determine their second event of the year, with a decision coming down to either the “Rust Belt GP” at Gingerman Raceway or “The Colonel and the Sinkhole” at NCM Motorsports Park.
A Family Affair: Expanding to a Two-Car Operation
In a thrilling development for the upcoming season, Poor Boy Racing is also announcing plans to expand its footprint on the grid with a two-car operation. Proving that the need for speed runs in the family, the wives of the Poor Boy Racing crew will be taking the wheel of the second car for select events. This new addition promises to bring twice the action, double the late-night wrenching, and a whole new level of friendly intra-team rivalry to the paddock.
Wherever they end up, Poor Boy Racing is ready to bring their signature blend of elbow grease, perseverance, and sheer willpower to the track in 2026.
