VALLEY VIEW, OH – In a move that has local historians stunned and racing purists weeping with joy, the roar of engines is set to replace the beep of delivery vans.
Early this morning, a joint press release from the newly formed “Cloverleaf Heritage Group” dropped a bombshell: the massive Amazon fulfillment center on Granger Road—completed just six years ago—is slated for immediate demolition to make way for the resurrection of the legendary Cloverleaf Speedway.

A Modern Motorsports Cathedral
This isn’t just a patch-and-paint job. The vision for the new Cloverleaf is to create a premier motorsports venue on par with facilities like Irwindale Speedway and Mansfield Motor Speedway. The plans include:
- Modern Seating: Sleek, high-capacity aluminum grandstands.
- Broadcast Quality: State-of-the-art Musco LED Lighting for shadow-free night racing.
- Professional Safety: A full Whelen Caution Light system integrated throughout the track.
- Fan Comfort: Climate-controlled luxury suites overlooking the front stretch for a true VIP experience.
The Great Excavation
Closed since 1990 and buried under layers of industrial progress, the flat quarter-mile asphalt oval is apparently still “breathing” beneath the concrete. Engineers claim the original track surface was preserved via a specialized “seal-and-fill” method before the warehouse construction, meaning the ghosts of racing past are just a few feet of rebar away from daylight.
“We realized the world has enough cardboard boxes,” said project lead Artie “Leadfoot” Miller. “What the world needs is the technical challenge of a flat quarter-mile that rewards real driving talent over raw horsepower.”

A Loaded Racing Calendar
The new Cloverleaf plans to run a grueling schedule from March through November:
- Late Models: The heavy hitters returning to the historic asphalt.
- Sport Stocks: Door-to-door action for the seasoned veterans.
- Spectator Stocks: High-end, front-wheel-drive compacts built for speed and precision.
Special Events & “The Big Wings”
The schedule is punctuated by high-profile “Feature Nights” featuring Supermodifieds and Modifieds, ensuring the biggest names in open-wheel racing find their way back to Valley View.
Happy April Fool’s Day! While the Amazon warehouse is staying put, it’s fun to imagine the ground shaking as those powerful Late Models rumble down the front stretch once again under the glow of those Musco LEDs.
