Monster Mayhem: Outlaw Monster Truck Drags Take Over Mansfield Speedway This Weekend

The roar of engines is back, and it’s louder than ever. Mansfield Speedway, proudly reclaiming its title as Ohio’s newly revived home of horsepower, is gearing up for a massive weekend of dirt-flying destruction. This Friday and Saturday, May 8th and 9th, the legendary clay oval will be taken over by the highly anticipated Outlaw Monster Truck Drags.

Promising a high-energy thrill ride from start to finish, the Outlaw Monster Truck Drags are bringing eight of the most competitive monster trucks on the independent circuit straight to the Mansfield clay. Fans can expect to see 10,000-pound, fire-breathing behemoths pushing the absolute limits of gravity and grip.

Unlike traditional exhibitions, the Outlaw series places a massive emphasis on legitimate racing competition. Spectators will be treated to intense side-by-side racing, massive school-bus-clearing table top jumps, and a wild freestyle competition where drivers go all-out with donuts, wheelies, and high-flying stunts to win over the crowd.

While the monster trucks are the undeniable headliners, they aren’t the only machines tearing up the track this weekend. Friday and Saturday will also mark the highly anticipated debut of the Outlaw Truck Cross.

Serving as a massive second draw for motorsports enthusiasts, this short-course offroad racing series brings a completely new dynamic to Mansfield Speedway. Fans will witness aggressive, door-to-door racing on a purpose-built course full of tight corners and big air. It’s high-speed, unpredictable, and exactly the kind of fender-bending, high-adrenaline action that die-hard racing fans crave.

Meet the Monsters: An 8-Truck Powerhouse Lineup

This weekend features a stacked roster, highlighted by a massive family rivalry. The Pagliarulo monster truck dynasty is descending on Mansfield, with four family members competing against each other on the exact same track, on the exact same weekend.

  • Excalibur (Mike Pagliarulo): Mike brings Excalibur to the Mansfield clay for two nights of intense side-by-side action. (Follow: @mikepagliarulo_3.5 | @excalibermonstertruck)
  • Kraken (Nick Pagliarulo): Nick rounds out three Pagliarulo siblings competing against each other this weekend. (Follow: @nick_pagliarulo13 | @krakenmonstertruck)
  • Missfire (Brooke Pagliarulo): Brooke pilots the brand new Missfire truck, backed by Tomfoolery Motorsports. She is the fourth Pagliarulo competing in this event, making her one of the most exciting stories in monster trucks right now. (Follow: @brookepagliarulo)

But the Pagliarulos aren’t the only heavy hitters in town. They will be going up against some of the most iconic names in the sport:

  • Raminator (Hall Bros Racing): HEMI powered. 2,000 horsepower. You’ll feel the Raminator before you see it. It remains one of the most recognizable trucks on the circuit.
  • Ramdemption (Hall Bros Racing): The second Hall Bros entry brings even more massive HEMI power alongside the Raminator.
  • American Scout (Colton Kiser): Colton Kiser brings American Scout to Ohio for two nights of madness on the Mansfield dirt. (Follow: @americanscoutmt)
  • Virginia Giant (Cliff Vowell): One of the most recognizable trucks on the independent circuit makes the trip to Mansfield for both nights of action. (Follow: @virginiagiant)

The Ultimate Fan Experience on the Midway

The Outlaw Monster Truck Drags go beyond just putting on a show—they immerse the fans in the action. Before the main show fires up, Thunder Alley opens on the Midway. This is where you get up close to all 8 massive trucks and meet the drivers for autographs and photos. Best of all, the Thunder Alley Experience is completely included with your ticket!

Want to feel the horsepower for yourself and ride on a real monster truck? Ride tickets are available on-site for an additional $20.

For families with kids, Thunder Alley alone is worth the price of admission. Plan to arrive exactly when the gates open so you have plenty of time to meet the drivers, check out the trucks, and take a ride before the main event kicks off.

With Mansfield Speedway newly rebuilt and revived, this weekend’s two-night spectacular represents a thrilling new chapter for the historic venue. Whether you are a lifelong gearhead or a family looking for an unforgettable night out, the Outlaw Monster Truck Drags promise to deliver an action-packed weekend that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
