Two Fremont Speedway legends dominated the first night of the 2004 Sharon Speedway nationals with John Ivy winning the B-Main and Bobby Clark the feature!!

HARTFORD, OH — A jubilant Bobby Clark thrust both fists into the air, gave out a huge yell and received high fives from his crew after the feature Saturday night at Sharon Speedway. Clark was a surprise winner in the Haulmark All Star sprint car X-1R 30 lap A main feature. The event served as opening night for the 24th annual Sharon Nationals and it was the Fremont, Ohio driver’s first career All Star win.

“I hit the wall early on and though I hurt the right rear, but luckily it was all right. I owe this win to my crew. Andy Potter has the car set up just right. Coming here I would have just been happy with a top five tonight. This is great after getting third here during Ohio Speedweek,” the driver of the KOT Trucking, J&J Chassis concluded. Clark had started eighth, and led only the final two circuits for the win over Dean Jacobs.
