How did you get involved in racing?
Family. Mom raced stock cars at Cloverleaf speedway. Dad raced at Cloverleaf and Lorain County Speedway. I’ve been going to circle tracks since the mid 80’s.
How long have you been racing? Why did you choose the number you race?
I started in Spectator Stock in 2000. Took a break from 2005-2010 while serving in the army. Been back at it ever since.
What’s your favorite race track you’ve raced on?
Bristol and Mansfield are tied for that honor. I’m hoping another shot at Bristol presents itself.

Do you have a workout plan that you follow to keep yourself in top shape for race day?
Stay hydrated and don’t over eat. No need to push weights on race day.
Did you have any racing heroes growing up?
Mike Lawson and Kurt Hennings were always fun to watch. Also Phil Rozum.
What’s your favorite racing memory?
I have a few. Winning Mansfield after a fierce battle with Kelly Horst was awesome. First feature win at Lorain County. Winning the National compact touring series championship in 2017. Turkey leg win in 2021.

Do you have any racers that you are close friends with?
I’ve made some great racing friend over the years. Wi11ie Patterson and Ryan “big red” Smith. Slammin Sammy Rubesne. Kevin Broski, Jay Teague and Shawn Bubsey. Roye Lowe. My good buddy JF2.
What is your greatest accomplishment in racing?
Being the 2017 National Compact Touring Series Champion.
Do you have any raceday rituals or superstitions?
I don’t think anyone needs to read about my unwashed, “race day only” briefs. Just kidding. Never been much for superstitions. Make sure it’s got some gas in it. Just tighten the belts and hammer down.

What are your plans for 2025?
2025 is going to be a hectic year. Our season starts out with 24 Hours of Lemons at Pittsburgh International Raceway. Going to race the BMW a handful of times with Ace at Norton (Raceway Park). Going to race a handful of race with Vores Compact Touring Series. Looking for some redemption at Winchester speedway. Kind of becoming addicted to these high banked big tracks. I’d also like to get to run Kalamazoo again. If things go right after all of that, you might catch me at a Cavalcade or two.
Anyone you want to thank for getting you here?
My parents. Without them I wouldn’t be around. My brother Joe. He’s always down to help. Willie always gives some great over the phone support. The broskis are great at the track teammates. Of course my fiancé Morgan. She really makes a whole race weekend go smoothly from load in to load out.
What is your favorite type of racecar you’ve ever driven?
Bob Lusetti let me run his back up street stock one night. That was fun. But I prefer to run my Integra.
