MIDVALE, Ohio – The wait is finally over for race fans in the Ohio Valley. Midvale Speedway released its highly anticipated 2026 racing schedule today, Saturday, January 24, setting the stage for another high-octane season of “Thunder in the Valley.”
The 3/10-mile asphalt oval, a staple of grassroots racing in Tuscarawas County, unveiled a calendar packed with weekly showdowns, returning fan-favorite specials, and the crowning of champions across its core divisions.

Season Highlights & Key Events
While the full week-by-week breakdown details every twist and turn of the season, several marquee events anchor the 2026 campaign:
The Season Opener: The roar of engines will return to the facility on April 25th, kicking off the points chase for Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Compacts, and Mini Wedges.
Holiday Specials: Continuing its tradition of honoring service and celebrating holidays with speed, the track has slated major events around Memorial Day (Salute to Fallen Heroes) and Labor Day weekends. These dates often feature extended lap counts and special payouts.

The winged warriors of the Outlaw 350 Supermodified Sprint Series return to create more thunder in the valley, returning to Midvale on Saturday, August 22nd for the penultimate round of the 2026 championship season.
The Ohio Wheelman Series will invade Midvale Speedway three times in 2026, with visits scheduled for Salute to Fallen Heroes Red, White & Blue Night May 23rd, the Kids Candy Crush on July 18th, and as part of the Fall Classic on September 19th and 20th.

The Firecracker 250: Fans can expect the skies and the track to light up in July for the annual Independence Day celebration, historically one of the best-attended nights of the year, featuring fireworks both on and off the track.
The Fall Classic: The season will once again culminate in late September with the multi-day Fall Classic. This season-ending extravaganza brings together the best drivers from all divisions for one final, massive payout before the winter break.

Divisions & Competition
The 2026 schedule confirms the return of Midvale’s diverse class lineup. The Late Models will continue to headline the program with their raw power and speed. They are joined by the technical precision of the Modifieds and the fender-banging action of the Street Stocks.

The Compact division, consistently providing some of the highest car counts and closest finishes in the state, returns to the card, alongside the Mini Wedges, which offer the next generation of drivers a platform to develop their skills.

Looking Ahead
With the schedule now public, teams across the region will finalize their builds and mark their calendars. The track’s management has promised a focus on fan experience and efficient show running for 2026, building on the momentum of a successful 2025 season.
