Rich Dewitt, Jr. picked up the 2024 Sandusky Speedway Pure Stock Championship and was the 2024 Hy-Miler Nationals Pure Stock Feature Winner. The 29 year old from South Amherst, Ohio has a new challenge ahead for 2025 as he will join the 350 Outlaw Supermodified Sprint Series.
How did you get involved in racing?
Long family history (Rich Dewitt, Sr. was a longtime racer at Sandusky and Lorain County Speedway)
How long have you been racing? Why did you choose the number you race?
A total 9 years. Karts as a kid and now cars for going on 5 years. I stole the family 16
What’s your favorite race track you’ve raced on?
Sandusky
What kind of hobbies outside of the racecar do you have?
Working on racecar and cooking with friends and family
Do you have a workout plan that you follow to keep yourself in top shape for race day?
Ha jokes huh 🤣
Did you have any racing heroes growing up?
My dad
Do you have any racers that you are close friends with?
Will Yuravak, Bobby Justice, Jesse Carrillo most all the guys we race with and then some unless they give us reasons not to be
What is your greatest accomplishment in racing?
Making my name for myself and not living off my family name
What are your plans for 2025?
Going to try 350 Outlaw Supermodified Sprint Series and field my car (Grand National) with a driver
