JFoose January 19, 2025

Eleven year old Leon Martin races in the NASCAR Youth Series Quarter Midgets at Little Lorain Raceway, he won two feature races in three racing events in 2024.

How did you get involved in racing?

I’ve been going to races since I was about 2 but my Great Uncle Jim Foose got me into racing.

How long have you been racing?  Why did you choose the number you race?

2024 was my first season so 2025 will be my first full season. I chose #42 because of my uncle Jim Foose, Jr.

What’s your favorite race track you’ve raced on?

Little Lorain Raceway

What kind of hobbies outside of the racecar do you have?

I play video games, Beyblades and play football.

What’s your favorite racing memory?

Winning my first race this past year.

What is your greatest accomplishment in racing?

Winning two feature events in three race days in my first season

Do you have any raceday rituals or superstitions?

Drink a Victory Fuel before the race and after if I win. Jim Jr has to buckle me into my car.

What are your plans for 2025?

I’ll race at Little Lorain as much as I can and maybe travel around a bit. It’s hard with my uncle being at so many different tracks during the season with Speedway Action Images

Anyone you want to thank for getting you here?

Uncle Jim Foose and Jim Foose, Jr. Ayden Thacker, Vince Montagnese, Tigh & TJ Shaffer, Randy Maggio, Jr, Brayden and Mark Gullatta.

What are your long term goals in racing?

I don’t know yet. I want to race in an Enduro when I am old enough.

Do you have any music/songs you like to listen to on raceday?

Eminem and Jim Jr. makes me listen to Luke Combs “Fast Car” everytime on the way to races.

Favorite current NASCAR Driver?

Ryan Blaney
