The All Star Circuit of Champions will “Pass the Helmet” at the three remaining events on the Ohio Sprint Speedweek Schedule, Waynesfield Raceway Park (Thursday), Fremont Speedway (Friday) and Wayne County Speedway (Saturday).
On Monday night, at Wayne County Speedway, three photographers were struck by a Sprint Car that entered the infield while another crash was occurring. Two photographers were transported by ambulance to local hospitals while another was airlifted out of the track by helicopter.
“The All Star Circuit of Champions would like to help the photographers involved in the accident at Wayne County Speedway. We will be passing the helmet after the 410 heat races at Waynesfield Raceway Park, Fremont Speedway, and Wayne County Speedway this weekend. We continue to send our wishes for a speedy recovery to Rick, Kyle and Chase.”
If you can’t make it to the track this week, Venmo donations can be sent to @Richard-Farmer-58.
Speedway Action Images had a crew on the ground at Wayne County Speedway Monday night, both are safe and uninjured.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the three photographers who were injured during the incident at Wayne County Speedway last night. We are thinking of them, their families, and the entire racing community, and we are hoping for their full recovery.”
At this time, we have nothing further to share regarding the events that took place. Our team will not be providing media availability or granting interview requests. We respectfully ask that any questions or inquiries regarding the incident be directed to Wayne County Speedway officials.
