In a statement issued Thursday (June 4th) afternoon, Owosso Speedway Promoter Rex Wheeler stated the following on the Owosso Speedway Facebook page.
Last night’s Race for the Million event brought an incredible crowd to Owosso Speedway, and we want to thank everyone who came out and supported the event.
First and foremost, thank you to the drivers and teams who traveled from across the country and Canada. They put on an outstanding show every time they hit the racetrack. The talent, competition, and professionalism on display were truly impressive.
We also want to recognize our staff and volunteers, who worked tirelessly throughout the event. During the periods of nothing being on the track, our concession, ticketing, security, and support teams did an exceptional job serving fans and keeping operations moving under challenging circumstances.
Most importantly, thank you to the fans. The energy in the grandstands was incredible from the moment the gates opened. Your passion and support are what make major events like this possible, and we appreciate everyone who chose to spend their evening with us.
We understand that some fans were disappointed with the overall length and pace of the program. Race for the Million is a traveling series that operates under its own event format and race management procedures. While Owosso Speedway was proud to host the event, we always value fan feedback and will continue working to provide the best possible experience for everyone who comes through our gates.
Thank you again for your support of Owosso Speedway. We look forward to seeing everyone back at the track soon.
