
The 2024 Lorain Raceway Park Pure Stock Champion recently joined us to get to know the driver behind the wheel of the #15!
How did you get involved in racing?
Rick Groetsch moved in across the street, and he kept telling me to come watch a race, but I always made fun of circle track guys because I was always into drag racing, I ended up coming to support him at Lorain’s cavalcade and I was hooked!
How long have you been racing? Why did you choose the number you race?
3 years, it’s my daughter’s basketball number.
What’s your favorite race track you’ve raced on?
I like them all

What kind of hobbies outside of the racecar do you have?
I sew custom car and boat seats and interiors! We also like to travel and camp.
Do you have a workout plan that you follow to keep yourself in top shape for race day?
A Poptart a day.
Did you have any racing heroes growing up?
John Force

What’s your favorite racing memory?
My first win at the Painesville Speedway, or that time at Hy Miler when Charlie Schultz was driving my 2nd car and we were battling for first with 7 laps to go, and he took me out in turn one!! He still swears I chopped down on him ( I will never confirm or admit that)! All I know is we put on a great show that night!!
What is your greatest accomplishment in racing?
Winning the 2024 pure stock points championship
What are your plans for 2025?
To go out have fun, and to take the family camping a little bit more

Do you have a regular job, and if so what do you do?
I operate a concrete pump truck, and crane truck and am the owner at Willy’s Custom Upholstery.
What are your long term goals in racing?
To have fun and make great friends and memories!
